Fashion Week Panama, fueron los pioneros en crear una plataforma de apoyo y exposición de la industria de moda de la región. Este Martes 12 de junio se llevó a cabo la primera conferencia de prensa, en el Restaurante Saril del Hotel Le Meridien,  como un abre bocas de lo que será la Semana de la Moda de este año. Me emociona mucho compartirles los siguientes detallistas de lo que podemos esperar para la edición 2018.

Este año se celebrará la versión no. 17 del evento y contará de nuevo con el apoyo de la Autoridad de Turismo de Panamá. Es importante apoyar el talento local y crear conciencia en la sociedad de consumir producto nacional, y se que el Fashion Week es fiel precursor de este objetivo. Para los que no conocen, existe la Asociación ADIMAP (Asociación de Diseñadores de Moda y Afines de Panamá), que entre sus objetivos tiene apoyar el desarrollo de la industria creativa y ayudar a impulsarla, sobrepasando los obstáculos que se presentan, hoy más que nunca, para los creadores del país.

Marciscano Panama Fashion Week 2017

 

Desde sus inicios el Fashion Week Panama siempre ha buscado crear alianzas importantes y entre ellas siempre ha estado presente una Fundación, a la cual se le apoya de forma monetaria y comunicacional, con parte de las ganancias del evento. En la edición 2018 se ha invitado como miembro honorario a la señora Elizabeth Heurtematte, de Fundación Heurtematte, una organización sin ánimos de lucro que organiza proyectos sociales, y que, para esta ocasión ha seleccionado a APLAFA (educación de salud sexual y planificación familiar) para ser los beneficiarios de la donación que se genere producto de un porcentaje de las ventas de la boletería de los 6 showcases que se presentarán este año en la semana de la moda panameña.
En conjunto con la Fundación Heurtematte, participará el grupo AXXION, una agrupación de mujeres profesionales que presentarán el showcase del viernes, 12 de octubre (7PM) a beneficio de la Asociación de Endometriosis Panamá (Por sus siglas, AENPA). Los boletos este año estarán disponibles a través de http://www.tusticketes.com.

A penas estamos en Junio y ya les puedo compartir un poco de los diseñadores que tendremos seguros en este 2018. Entre los diseñadores panameños tendrán a: Edda González, Marciscano, Lidia Minota, Pilar Sainz, Helene Breebart, Sousa Pitti, Verónica Ángel, Annie Chajín – Adrian Carrillo, John Bejarano, Geniesse Pierre y Michelle Zarak.

Fashion Week Panama, were the pioneers in creating a platform of support and exhibition of the fashion industry of the region. This Tuesday, June the 12th, was held the first press conference at the Saril Restaurant of the Le Meridien Hotel, as a kickoff of what will be this year’s Fashion Week. I am very excited to share with you the following details of what we can expect for the 2018 edition.

This year is the 17th edition of the event and will again count with the support of the Tourism Authority of Panama (ATP). It is important to support local talent and create awareness in the society of consuming national products, and I know that Fashion Week is a faithful precursor of this goal. For those who do not know, there is the Association ADIMAP (Association of Designers of Fashion and Allied of Panama), that among its objectives has the support of the development of the creative industry and help to promote it, surpassing the obstacles that are presented, today more than ever , for the creators and artists in the country.

Since its inception, Fashion Week Panama has always sought to create important alliances and among them has always been Non-Profit Foundations, which is supported in monetary and communicational ways, with part of the profits of the event. In the 2018 edition, Mrs. Elizabeth Heurtematte, from the Fundación Heurtematte, a nonprofit organization that organizes social projects, has been invited as an honorary member and has selected APLAFA (sexual health and family planning education) for this occasion. This time the beneficiaries of the donation will be generated by a percentage of the sales of the box office of the 6 showcases that will be presented this year in the Panamanian Fashion Week. AXXION will also participate, a group of professional women who will present the showcase on Friday, October 12 (7PM) for the benefit of the Endometriosis Association of Panama (AENPA). We are already in June and I can share with you some of the designers that will be participating this year. As special international participations, we will also be able to see: Firma Polite and Paula Morris from Colombia and one of my favorites from my country Venezuela, Constanza Oquendo, on the catwalk.
