Hello hello! acá les preparé una guía de viaje con todo lo que necesitan saber de Medellín. Me encantó la ciudad, es muy verde, llena de árboles y tiene mucho para ofrecer, y lo mejor, es que es un destino con precios super accesibles. Yo por suerte fui justo en la Feria de las Flores, muy famosa en la ciudad, donde se realizan diferentes fiestas y actividades haciendo homenaje a la tradición del lugar y sus hermosas flores.

Hello hello! Here I prepared a travel guide with everything you need to know about Medellín. I loved the city, it is very green, full of trees and has a lot to offer, and the best thing is that it is a destination with super accessible prices. Luckily I went at the Flower Fair, very famous in the city, where different parties and activities take place paying tribute to the local traditions and its beautiful flowers.
¿DÓNDE QUEDARSE?
Hay muy buenas opciones en airbnb, a super buen precio. Yo les recomiendo la zona de El Poblado, además de que es super linda, rodeada de mucho verde, es la más segura. También les puedo recomendar el Hotel Boutique Celestino, que está ubicado en una excelente zona, cerca del Parque Lleras, en una calle llena de restaurantes y boutiques para comprar.
WHERE TO STAY?
There are very good options on airbnb, at a great price. I recommend the area of El Poblado, in addition to being super cute, surrounded by lots of green, it is the safest. I can also recommend the Celestino Boutique Hotel, which is located in an excellent area, near Lleras Park, in a street full of restaurants and boutiques to buy.
TRANSPORTE
En Medellín recomiendo utilizar Uber. Aunque en Colombia esta aplicación no está legalizada, se encuentra funcionando y la verdad es que todos los conductores que nos tocaron fueron muy amables. No es seguro utilizar taxis regulares. También está el metro, el cual utilizamos para ir al Tour de la Comuna 13 y la verdad es que está muy bien, no nos pareció así tan inseguro. En el aeropuerto recomiendo coordinar un chofer con anterioridad ya que es complicado conseguir Uber, ya que tarda bastante y está la policía que ellos llaman “tráfico” vigilando y registrando a los conductores.

PARQUE EXPLORA
Yo no soy muy fan de los museos y debo decir que este me encantó, de hecho me hubiese gustado ir con más tiempo. Les recomiendo ir desde temprano para que pueda tener tiempo de ver todo. Cuenta con un acuario y muchos reptiles e insectos. Después de esto, en el último piso, se encuentran 5 salas interactivas temáticas, una es “Música”, “Tiempo”, “Mente”, “En Escena” y la “Sala Infantil”. En cada una encuentras actividades con pantallas interactivas y juegos super cool. Por ejemplo en la de música puedes crear tu propio video musical, puedes producir un track de cero, entre otras cosas. La entrada tiene un costo de 27,000 pesos que son alrededor de $9.
¿Cómo llegar? Yo recomiendo ir en Uber y que te deje al frente del Museo ya que esta zona puede resultar un poco popular, lo cual hay que estar pendiente de los carteristas.

I am not a fan of museums and I must say that I loved this one, in fact I would have liked to go with more time. I recommend you go early so you can have enough time to see everything. It has an aquarium and many reptiles and insects. After this, on the top floor, there are 5 interactive themed rooms, one is “Music”, “Time”, “Mind”, “On Stage” and the “Children’s Room”. In each one you find activities with interactive screens plus cool games. For example in music you can create your own music video, you can produce a track from zero, among many other cool stuff. The entrance has a cost of 27,000 pesos that are around $9.
How to get there? I recommend going to Uber and leaving you in front of the Museum since this area can be a bit popular, which you have to watch out for pickpockets.

La vista desde el Museo es super linda, se ve toda ciudad. Hay muchas obras de arte moderno de artistas locales e internacionales. Es pequeño pero para los amantes del arte hay cosas interesantes. La entrada es super económica.

The view from the Museum is super nice, you can see every city. There are many works of modern art by local and international artists. It is small but for art lovers there are interesting things.
PUEBLITO PAISA
Es un pueblito dentro de la ciudad, réplica de los pueblitos típicos de la zona con estructuras y casitas de colores. Es pequeño, no toma mucho tiempo. Recomiendo ir en Uber. Hay stands de comida típica.

It is a small town within the city, a replica of the typical small towns in the area with structures and colorful houses. It’s small, it doesn’t take long. I recommend going on Uber. There are typical food stands.
PARQUE LLERAS
Es un parque que queda en una zona super turística y movida de la ciudad. Está llena de restaurantes, bars y tienditas. Muy activa incluso de noche todos los días de la semana, ya que está llena de turistas. Acá se encuentra The Charlee Hotel, el edificio es super famoso por su arquitectura y tiene un rooftop cool con una vista linda de la ciudad: “Envy Rooftop“. También recomiendo pasar por un Ice Cream Cereal Bar que queda por esta zona que se llama Elixor, son muy ricos y tienen una presentación super linda.
It is a park that is in a super touristic and busy area of the city. It is full of restaurants, bars and shops. Very active even at night every day of the week, because of the tourists. COMUNA 13 – GRAFFITI TOUR
La comuna 13 fue el barrio más peligroso de Medellín por muchos años y hoy en día, gracias al arte, han salido adelante y han logrado hasta crear este tour donde te pasean por el barrio y te cuentan la historia inspiradora. Está llena de gente talentosa: excelentes pintores, graffiteros, bailarines, cantantes y deportistas. Cada obra tiene un significado especial de la historia de la Comuna 13. Les cuento que me sentí super segura. De verdad lo disfruté mucho y se los recomiendo 100%. Para el tour les recomiendo reservar con la gente de @casakolacho, solo debes escribirles por whatsapp para reservar y ya se paga en el sitio. Tiene un costo approx. de $10. @casakolacho la fundaron con el objetivo de rescatar niños y jóvenes de las calles para enseñarles arte, música, baile, entre otros, alejándolos de la delincuencia y enseñándoles que siempre hay otras alternativas. El tour finaliza en la casa de la fundación y te enseñan a firmar como todo un graffitero.
Comuna 13 was the most dangerous hood in Medellín for many years and today, thanks to art, they have overcome the delinquency and have managed to create this graffiti tour where they walk you through the place and tell you the inspiring story. It is full of talented people: excellent painters, graffiti artists, dancers, singers and athletes. Each graffiti and painting has a special meaning of the history of the Comuna 13. I can tell you that I felt super safe. I really enjoyed it and I recommend it 100%. For the tour I recommend you to book with the people of @casakolacho, you just have to write them through whatsapp to book and you pay during the tour. It has a cost approx. of $10. @casakolacho foundation’s objective is to rescue children and young people from the streets to teach them art, music, dance, among others, moving them away from crime and teaching them that there are always other alternatives. The tour ends at the foundation’s house and they teach you to sign like a graffiti artist.

Este tour fue mi favorito y merece un post solo para contarles todo. Es un paseo de un día a visitar este pueblito hermoso a una hora y media de Medellín. Podrán encontrarlo en mi blog.

Recommendation: Everything was divine and very good attention. I went for Brunch, since they had just opened this option and I loved it, but they also open for lunch and dinner. I recommend ordering several dishes to share so you can try different options.
Dishes: Definitely order the mimosas with tangerine juice since the tangerine juice is a classic of Colombia, Nachos Cabrones, Huevos Alboroto, Tostadas Bendecidas y la Tostada de aguacate y feta.

Excellent place to eat or have drinks. It is located in a street full of super cute bars. It is American style food but with a Colombian gourmet touch. The decoration of the site is mega cool.
I loved the food in Medellin, but I think this was my favorite. Ideal for dinner, fusion food with an asian touch . It is by same Chef of the famous Restaurant El Cielo”, Juan Manuel Barrientos, and the best thing is that although it is an elegant restaurant, it is super accessible.

It is a roofed market with a variety of eating options, ideal for all tastes. I chose Indian food, at the “Tandoori” stand, which is the special oven they use, because I loved the decoration of the place. My friends decided to go for the local “paisa”-style barbecue.
